I never intended to move to Albuquerque, but I’m glad I did! I was on my way to Tucson when my car broke down in Albuquerque. Everyone was so nice that I decided to stay.
When I began interviewing for jobs, I met lots of people and ended up getting offers from every hospital in town. But one facility stood out to me. I really connected with the nurse manager I met at Lovelace. I loved her energy and enthusiasm. She convinced me to work here, and it’s been everything I hoped it would be.
Since then, I’ve gone back to school to complete my bachelor’s degree in nursing. It was tough juggling classes and work, but everyone was really supportive and Lovelace provides some great incentives to help with tuition.
I’ve worked here for four years and things are moving in a really positive direction. We have great leadership and a beautiful, updated facility. When I’m out in the community, I’m always proud to tell people I work at Lovelace.
