I’m one of those lucky people who likes coming to work every day. I think that’s because I’ve spent most of my career here at Lovelace. I started out as a medical receptionist. Today, I manage medical transcription for the entire Lovelace system.
Working at Lovelace Medical Center has given me so many opportunities to advance in my career. I’ve always felt supported and encouraged by the people around me, and I try to create the same kind of environment for my staff. Most people spend more time with their co-workers than they do their own family, so it’s really important to me to make the time I spend at work enjoyable.
I’m the type of person who loves a challenge, and my job gives me the chance to learn and grow each day. It’s so rewarding to take a new idea and see it through from beginning to end. I’m grateful that this is the type of place that allows me to take on more responsibility and supports me in reaching the goals I set for myself and my team. I really consider that a gift.
